GOREME OPEN AIR MUSEUM & AVANOS
The Goreme Open-Air Museum resembles a vast monastic complex composed of scores of refectory monasteries placed side-by-side, each with its own fantastic church. We then went on to El Nazar Kilisesi to explore the ancient paintings and had a quick nose around the city of Avanos to check out some pottery and try the local kebab, they do love their chillies.. then finally drive down to the underground city of Derinkuyu which we will continue exploring in our next episode.
