Climbing to the summit of Masada National Park, Israel
In this episode we had to wake up at the crazy hour of 3am in order to drive from Jerusalem, down past the Dead Sea and up to Masada national Park. The boys got some much needed extra sleep in the car before the few hour hike up to the summit where you can find the ruins of Masada. A mountain-top fortress complex in the Judaean Desert, overlooking the western shore of the Dead Sea in southeastern Israel. The fort, built in the first century BC, was constructed atop a natural plateau rising over 400m above the surrounding terrain, 20 km east of modern Arad.
The views are truly breath taking from the top, it’s a long hike to get up but a safe one and most definitely worth the walk! We hope you enjoy the video .
