HELLO, WE ARE THE RICHARDS
Welcome to The Richie Reel! We are the Richards, half English – half Kiwi family that lives in Cyprus… confused?? Don’t worry we like to keep you on your toes.
As a couple we would travel a lot so when our two free ranged boys decided to come along… we decided to keep up with the travelling and just change it slightly (who are we kidding, we had to change it A LOT) and this is why we came up with the idea of The Richie Reel. Travelling with children can be so daunting, so we have tried to make it easier for you all by showing, exploring and finding the best and most fun things to do in places.
MEETING THE LITTLE HUMANS
Hiya, we are Jenson & Fletcher, we were born in Cyprus and love this island. As much as we are fluent in Greek and go to Greek school, we still run around outside in bare feet like our Kiwi Mum and we also tend to pronounce “vv” instead of “th” in words like mother and brother like our English Dad.
We love being outdoors, we love going on adventures and we also love music, whether it is Rock, House or Greek.
Here is an interesting/random fact about each of us.
- Jenson can go 30 hours without sleeping and still has loads of energy.
- Fletcher hates Ice Cream and would rather eat olives, tomatoes and gherkins
MEETING THE BIGGER HUMANS
Hey, we are Steve & Cherilee, Steve was born and bred in London and Cherilee was born and bred in New Zealand. In the year 2000 we met and pretty much travelled the world while enjoying London life. After 9 years of this, Steven was offered a fab job in Cyprus so we immigrated over in 2009 and have never looked back. Cyprus is such a gorgeous island and is a happy medium for both the English and Kiwi in us.
Here is an interesting/random fact about each of us.
- No matter the country, no matter the temperature, no matter the time…. Steve will always have and enjoy a hot cup of tea (English tea…. none of that fancy malarkey)
- Cherilee can smell chocolate from 50m and does not feel guilty about hiding in a cupboard to eat the said chocolate without sharing with her family
